What is the content of the newsletter?

The 2nd newsletter is focusing on the COVID-19 situation and the difficulties which people are facing due to the restrictions and lockdowns. Physical distance is one of the solutions to this pandemic. But, especially for older people, physical distance in, most of the times, synonymous with social distance and isolation. Seniors need to learn new technologies and be able to live independently and communicate with their families and friends. Seniors’ educational needs are different from the needs of other adults and IT educators should obtain the necessary skills to teach new technology to older people.

 

Which are the project outputs?

The projects outputs are:

  • Web tool with good practices and tools in teaching technology to seniors
  • Job Profile of IT trainers of seniors
  • Online training programme for IT trainers
  • Video sharing personal educational experiences between IT teachers and seniors
